A couple of weeks ago I posted a picture of my mom sitting at the table, and a few people msgd asking, “what is that thing under the bowl with all the writing on it?
It’s a calendar. I print it, laminate it, and before I go to bed or before I leave for work in the morning, I write stuff on it. Dementia can cause people to become disoriented which is the case with my mom, and doing this helps.
Also, it’s turned into this endearing thing, because she writes notes on it too, and sometimes, she grades it, and sometimes, she puts a big red checkmark at the top which means I passed, probably.
** edit- I don’t print and laminate one every day. I print one at the beginning of the month, and we use dry-erase markers on it.
