I dropped my airpod and found a tiny casket…

Ok, that’s not entirely true. I dropped my airpod, and it bounced under a cabinet, and that’s where I found what I thought might be a tiny casket… because it looked like a tiny casket. Also, I thought it might explain the loud noises coming from the attic …

Turns out it’s not a casket… It’s an old violin case with an old violin inside and a note from my mother which reads, “to my darling daughter, you are music to my ears.”
At first, I wasn’t exactly sure what to think or do with this find. Do I shove it back under the cabinet where I found it, or have it appraised and sell it? And then it occurred to me… I know how to play this thing… I started playing when I was 5yrs old and played until I was 15…

So, I think I will save up my pennies and get this old violin in working order because… Music is good for people with dementia. Also, she did pay for a decade’s worth of piano/violin lessons, out-of-state contests, music theory classes, etc., so, she might enjoy it. It can’t be that hard to pick back up… like riding a bike, probably, I assume.
