It started with one toilet that wouldn’t flush completely… So, I went to the store and bought a plunger… It didn’t help. And then a few hours later the same issue was happening with toilet #2 and then about 30 mins later my mom starts yelling ”help! something is wrong” and toilet #3 is making gurgling noises…. And as I walked over to investigate the shituation, I noticed the sound of sloshy carpet, and that’s not fun, so, then I walked towards the laundry room to get some towels and noticed water all over the kitchen floor and gushing from the closet where the a/c lives and ya’ll, it’s been a rough couple of days… Actually, the last few weeks have been rough for various reasons…so…
Anyhoo, 2 days of plumbers roto-rootering all of the drains in the house, including the vents on the roof, which was incredibly loud, and unnerving, especially for my mom who was noticeably scared and shaking and so every few minutes I would stop whatever I was doing to hold both of her hands, look her in the eyes, and assure her that she was safe… As I said, it’s been a rough couple of days…
And after all of that and a whole bunch of pennies later, it turns out nothing was wrong with our pipes, it was the janky city lines with all the issues.
So, The city ppl showed up and brought a truck with an even cooler camera and then these three fellas started digging and unearthed a manhole in the front yard which I didn’t even know existed, and one guy popped the lid off and I took a look down in that hole and yall, I saw things…
And I’m pretty sure we don’t pay these field worker fellas enough…someone give these guys a raise.
All of this to say, if your going to buy a house, buy the one at the top of the hill.
You’re welcome.
